Embark on an 8 week long creative journey into the world of tabletop role-playing games! In this engaging and interactive class, students will learn the fundamentals of game design while exploring the exciting mechanics and storytelling techniques of TTRPGs like Dungeons & Dragons. From crafting unique characters to building immersive worlds, participants will develop their creative and collaborative skills as they design and play their own adventures. Perfect for aspiring storytellers, game designers, and fantasy enthusiasts, this class encourages teamwork, imagination, and fun!

8 Weeks

Thursdays, 1/16/25, 1/23/25, 1/30/25, 2/6/25, 2/13/25, 2/20/25, 2/27/25, 3/6/25

Time: 4:00pm-5:30pm

Grades: 4th-8th

Plan and organize loglines, dramatic questions, characters, settings, and plot structures. Create an impactful message or lesson and convey a narrative that connects you and the reader. Write and invest in a story to exercise skills in fictional writing. Receive a peer review for constructive criticism/feedback and suggestions to improve writing and storytelling abilities. Express creativity and emotions through a fictional story with passion and experience creative writing on paper or on a device with published writer Kay Pellegrini.
